ll rapidly increasing today. According to some inside information a bookie can earn between five hundred thousand and seven hundred fifty thousand dollars in about a year. Even there agents that do most of the dirty work can earn from about a thousand to thirteen hundred a week. Not a bad living to make if you don’t get caught. For the money they make, it is the ultimate cash job. During the middle stages of the 20th century this was the way for organized crime to become so powerful and corrupt.
A Sports Consulting firm is a firm that Las Vegas hires to analyze sports games and determines betting lines. Betting lines are significant intentions to draw bettors to the games. By setting a line this will hopefully split the people wagering and would ensure a bookie that he or she will receive its cut of ten percent. The bookie will always get a cut weather the team wins or looses. If there is a team that is over waged the bookie or casino will adjust the line accordingly to try to swing bettors in different directions. This is done to avoid financial hits when the “underdog” beets the ranked team and causes an upset. A bookie can easily improve their chances of making a profit. For this reason alone this is why gambling is illegal. Like they always say: “House always wins!!!”
The person or persons who invented this system was either an avid sports fan or someone who loved to wager money on sports games. What matters to these people is that they make profit. Profit is the only thing that matters. Basically a casino’s objective is to set a betting line that will draw an equal number of gamblers on both sides. If this is accomplished, then the odds of winning are at the expense of the gamblers. The popularity is ever growing with sports. Sports are turning into a profitable multi-billion dollar industry. Combining this with the dream of making fast cash is inevitable of sports gambling.
