Surrogacy became seen as a more legitimate and viable alternative for those who wanted to have children. For the women who wanted to act as the surrogates, it served as a good source to earn a substantial amount of money, while helping a couple realize their dream of having a child.
Given the description, one would think surrogate motherhood was an ideal solution for a couple that wanted to have a child but was unable to conceive naturally.
