slaves were one of the only groups of people who were forced to give up their language
and heritage. Many were split apart from people belonging to their families, this was
done in order to keep them from communicating. Most often slaves were sold to other
masters in order to keep them from their relatives, this was away to make sure that their
customs would disappear from that slaves way of life. Technology
was on a rise and people were moving where those things were most visible. The railroad
out west brought the Chinese to the United States. The Chinese then brought with them
their own culture and were heavily discriminated against because of who they were,
where they were from, how they spoke and how they looked. In other words They were
denied equal opportunities and placed in isolation. In my opinion they are the nationality
that almost had it as bad as Blacks in this country. The only reason
