Bio-ethics is the study of ethical implications of medical practice, considering the preservation of human life. With recent science developments, scientists have the ability to control the future of humanity. Human cloning is a controversial issue that has a neither right nor wrong answer. The recombining of genes fear some, while others believe it will be a successful process. Biogenetics should go to the extent in cloning where health issues are taken in consideration. However, laws should be reinforced to protect humanity and its risks in the future. Scientists should have the ability to clone individuals in need of replacement parts but managed closely.
The process of cloning should not be taken advantage of, therefore limiting the practice of Bio-genetics should be considered. Laws should be enforced to the point where individuals have the right to be cloned with a legitimate reason. Restricting the practice will avoid people from taking advantage of this process. Only individuals with health issues should be given the opportunity to clone. This process would be used for saving lives, and not experimenting. Take in consideration the inconsolable individuals who’s loved ones, life depend on a double clone. With the increase of diseases, “Cloning could, in theory be used to obtain tissues needed to treat disorders such as Parkinson’s disease and diabetes.”(Wilmut,490) Individuals should be giving the privilege of cloning when health is a concern, but follow the set of laws that come.
Scientist should put to use the advancements of technology, and help people that need organ replacements. Sciences improvements can do so much for humanity; the dilemma is when they are not used intelligently. Cloning tampers with humans genetics and can be lethal if not handled properly.
