PREFACE

This is the term paper on the application of Rankine cycle in steam power plants, improved efficiency presented by PRABIN SHARMA.This term paper provides good knowledge of Rankine cycle. In this term paper, I have compared Rankine cycle with Carnot cycle, I have given the idea of the application of Rankine cycle in steam power plants and the methods to increase the efficiency of the Rankine cycle. As Rankine cycle is simply a hypothesis, all the matters presented here are based on theory only.
Since this is Mine first term paper, there might be errors and mistakes which we hope the readers will inform me about.
