Genetically Modified Foods
Are people for or against genetically modified foods? Well, I’m not sure about some people, but in the next couple of paragraphs I am going to tell you what my view is on this specific issue.

Well, personally I think that there is no need for genetically modified foods. One of the reasons I think that is because if they make genetically modified foods then there is a pretty good chance that they will cause more problems in the world by making more products for people to be allergic to. Take the video from biology for instance, they argued that introducing foreign genes from distant species (such as fish genes into a strawberry) increases the risk of allergies. I am sure that most people would rather keep the food that we already have than to risk making things in the world even worse. Once they put the genetically modified foods in the wild, you won’t be able to tell them from the regular plants if you just look at them and this is a problem.

Another reason I am against genetically engineered foods is because they use genes from all different kinds of plants and animals and put them into one plant or food. I think, personally, this is crossing the line. You shouldn’t put genes from animals and other plants into one plant without people knowing exactly what you are putting into it. If they don’t know exactly what you are putting in the plant then that food might start an allergic reaction with the person who is consuming the food and they wont know what is causing the reaction.

Another reason I am against genetically modified foods I because I think that they haven’t been around long enough or even been tested thoroughly enough to call them safe and make them available to the whole world. I think that they should test them some more and see what the long term effects are before everyone in the world starts to grow and eat them.

Another reason is the Recorded Deaths from gene...
