e (3).” One of the most prevalent ways to eat away from home is the fast food establishment. But how dangerous is one high fat meal? A study done at the University of Miami decided to find out. On the first day of the study, participants were served a low-fat breakfast comprised of a bowl of Frosted Flakes, skim mild and orange juice. The next day, participants were given a very high-fat breakfast from McDonalds consisting of an egg McMuffin, a sausage McMuffin and two hash browns. After each of these meals, blood was drawn and tested. No problems were detected when testing the blood after the first meal. However, findings were startling after blood was tested for the second meal. There was evidence of damage to the lining of the blood vessels and just three hours after the meal, harmful blood fat or triglycerides, rose to 81%. (3.) In this experiment, it was clearly proved that eating fast food is bad for you. In response to the experiment, McDonald’s stated:
