Meat-eaters may say that being a vegetarians do not lead very healthy lifestyles but that is one of many myths of vegetarianism. The most common myths about vegetarianism is that it can be time consuming and complicated, unhealthy, that it is a low fat diet, and that 'going vegetarian' is better for health. None of those myths are entirely true. Since vegetarianism has become more popular recently, vegetarian meals are readily available. There are frozen vegetarian meals, soyfoods, canned beans, and pre-packaged dinners available in most supermarkets. Vegetarian diets are generally lower in fat than meat diets but they are not "low-fat" diets. All fat is calorie-dense so vegetarians do need to monitor their fat intake as do meat-eaters. To put down another myth, unless you follow a balanced vegetarian diet, you may be switching one set of risks associated with a certain diet with a set of risks from another diet.
