The points I'm going to introduce to this essay are how cultures have combined to make cultural identities and how men and woman have the same level of conformity.

The degree of cultural and self-multilation is part of our society. It has progresed in a way that we (society)know that all cultures multilations have combined and have made a mixture of cultural identities. For example, a culture can see a scar in a persons face and that could represent beauty or in other cultures it could represent evil or that he/she did some thing wrong. Another example, a birth mark almost next to your lips, for many cultures this could represent a symbol of sexuality but in others a symbol of evil or other.

I feel that the level of conformity is the same for men as it is for woman. The two sexes in the same way have pressure. An example,a woman is beign pressured by beauty magazines, The image of women in the advertisments and the image of the media, by this a woman feels that she needs her beauty, her looks, and her physical to be in the state of perfection. The man are beign pressured to such as Malcolm X hair. Malcolm had to put up with the burning of his scalp to have that hair straight and also to represent the image of a white men.
Its true isn't that once again people are being judged by appearance. As we have read before in other articles this is something people really have problems with trying to reach that perfect image that surround them in everyday things. Magazines explode beauty as being thin and having not fat once so ever but you know that not all women are perfect.
But each day hundreds of women are is trying everything to keep up with certain images.
To me it's sad because God bought you to this world and no matter what 'beauty is truly inside'. But the world has not opened their eyes to conformity. I think it also has to do with being a strong person if you know truly inside that you are who you are no matter what...
