“The Cowboys”
The movie, “The Cowboys,” portrayed the real life of a cowboy. The life of a cowboy was no where near as good as one would have expected it to be. One would think that the life of a cowboy would be very simple and pleasant. However, it was rough being a cowboy!
A cowboy’s day would start by getting up before daybreak. After he would wake up, he would grab a quick bite to eat and then heard up cattle or make trips. He didn’t get to go to bed until very late at night; which meant that he didn’t get but a few hours of sleep.
A cowboy would sometimes run into some problems. For instance, he might would run into an Indian or other cowboys. Trouble could then be started. A cowboy might get stuck in the middle of a stampede and possibly get killed. He could have to cross a river and could possibly drown. A cowboy’s herd of cattle could possibly get stolen. Those were just a few problems that a cowboy could have ran into.
A cowboy very rarely got to spend time with his family. He was always on the go or extremely busy. Sometimes, a cowboy would go to a cow town and find himself a woman to do him until he left the cow town and until he got to see his woman again. Cheating was a very common thing back in the day. Although it was wrong, and still is, a cowboy would cheat on his woman because he would be lonely while he was in the cow town, and he needed someone to give him lots of attention and love.
The life of a cowboy is not all it’s cracked up to be. It was portrayed to be the best lifestyle!...
