Gender And Race

THE REAL T.V. SHOW
Today’s talk show’s topic is “Race and Gender issue in present American society”. Even though we have somewhat improved our mode of living, this improvement and advancement of modern society does not include all the different groups of people who live in it. Some of the main problems that we have are race issue and gender issues. These two issues go way back, as far as in the formation of civilizations. Race was not such a concern as it is now, because every race lived within their own continents. But with invention of means of transportations, we were able to travel across the globe, collecting whatever we could including people lived in those places. What we did not consider was that those people whom we took with us will someday become part of our societies, that we will have to share our humanly lives. The gender issue goes way back as far as at the creation of the earth. According to the Bible, God created a female Eve to be the male’s helper Adam. When our ancestors were punished from the Garden of Eden, their punishments strongly underlines the roles of men and women in societies. Adam’s punishment was that he would have to eat from the sweat of his own physical labor. And Eve’s punishment was that she would give birth with great pain. It is evidently clear that this statement (God’s punishment) states that men are destine to do outdoors work and that women are destine to do domestic work. With the development of civilizations this statement has become a lot more complex, because there are a lot more activities other than just farming and forming families. We have two very special guests today, who both have very interesting things to say about race and gender issue. They have experienced these issues, and we are very lucky to have them here. Tonight we will have the privilege to have Mrs. Woolf and Mr. Fannon as our special guests. Ladies and gentlemen please welcome Mrs. Woolf and Mr. Fannon!...
