The movie takes place in a primarily African-American community. Sal (Danny Aiello) owns a Pizzeria restaurant and has two sons by the name of Pino (John Turturro) and Vito (Richard Edson). Pino is the oldest and feels that Vito should do most of the work. Mookie ( Spike Lee) works as a pizza delivery man who acts as a mediator between the two races.
In one scene a white man wanted to go pass the open fire hydrant with his gold antique Cadillac convertible. The young teenager told him to pass by, nothing would

happen, but the teenager lied, hosed down his car and ruined it. A patrol car happened to pass by and the man pointed (this is a line) to the teenagers at the open fire hydrant. The officers asked what happened and with an attitude the man said “The black kids, Mo and Joe Black ruined my car.”
In another scene Buggin’ Out comes into the Pizzeria for a slice of pizza while he was enjoying his pizza he happens to notice that there were no African-American people on the Wall of Frame (The words on wall of frame is texture). This angers Buggin’ Out and leads him to ask Sal to put some pictures up. This allows us to see how domineering and overpowering an individual is who fears change.
