In the stories “The Nose”, “Roxanne”, and “Cyrano De Bergerac” they all have their similarities and their differences at the same time. As all of these stories all basically have the same story line or the same meaning, they also all have different plots, setting, and characters. I also think that their psyical appearance affects their personal relationships in the stories. The Movie “Roxanne”, is basically identical to the story “Cyrano De Bergerac”. They have to same story line with just different setting and scenes.
In “Roxanne” the story takes place in a small town in the us where the main character CD has a larger nose then any other person which effects his attitude and his personal relationship with others. CD is the head firefighter chief for the town he lives in where he is trying to organize a successful fire squad. A new successful firefighter comes to work for their station to help bring their squad up to working standards. CD and the new firefighter end up falling in love with the same girl, except the new guy has a hard time talking to her. This is where CD helps him talk to her where she falls in love with the words that he says to her.


The only except is that the wonderful words that move her are coming from CD and not from the new guy. She finally figures out by the end of the story that it is CD that said all those wonderful things to her in which she is in love with him and he falls in lover with her. All three of the stories basically go around this summary but that just have different setting and some of the characters are different. There is your new version of the story and the old version. The psychical appearance of the main character makes the story unique as the people react differently toward him.
They make fun of him at first for having his unique nose but then over time they get use to it as if he was normal. Then once he changes his nose to how it should normally be, people...
