Nashville State has an open admissions policy. Degree seeking students must have a diploma or hold a GED. The ACT is required for students under the age twenty-one. Transfer students must have a 2.0 grade point average. The admissions process has three important steps that and applicant must follow.
The first step that the student must complete is to submit a completed application for admission or readmission. The application gathers important personal information about the applicant. The first time I applied for college was fun. I was so excited about the whole college atmosphere. I filled out an application and forgot to send it off . Being responsible is so important when you are going through the admissions process. The more responsible you are the better your chances are of getting things done. The admissions process can be stressful. Time and patience can really help with the stressful moments of applying for college. Getting everything done on time can make a big difference in the process. The application is just the first step in the admissions process.
The second step in the admissions process is to pay a five dollar non-refundable application fee (upon registration). The five dollar fee, I think , is for processing the application. This step does not guarantee that the applicant would be admitted to Nashville State. I think that the whole application fee is ridiculous. What is the point in paying five dollars for processing your application and the money does not guarantee that you will be admitted? On the other hand I also believe that the idea is very clever. Taking the five dollar fee from every applicant not only helps Nashville State financially but it also shows the student that everything in life is not free.
