rong feelings that lead me to believe that distance learning education is as strong if not more strong than traditional brick and mortar schools. My wife has taken several distance learning classes online with Kansas State University. My experience in the Air Force has allowed me the opportunity to perform many educational lessons through the distance learning media. I have seen the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to distance learning programs. Not all distance education programs are successful. Some schools have encompassed the technological classroom and some are running to catch up. According to Ball State University, “Traditional campuses will continue to attract students, but even on-campus students will demand some asynchronous learning activities and courses in their schedules. Asynchronous education simply coincides well with demands of the market and load of life of most learners. Ball State University developed infrastructure that includes human experts for development of online education not only for the citizens of the State of Indiana, but also for learners in national and global levels. University Computing Services, Teleplex, and Library are ready to help faculty members with their training, technology, and development needs for the online education. Successful distance education programs involve interactivities not only between teacher and students, and between students, but also provide learning resources that support hands-on and learning-while-doing methodology. University Computing Services with experience staff members is ready to help development of interactive multimedia online resources.”1
