That article also clearly states that if a human could use the brain to its full potential there would be no comparison to a computer of our modern technology. Still computers can continue in their advancement as fast as someone can obtain the knowledge to make them better. So will humans have a fighting chance at being smarter then the machines they create? Or will the machines they create take over and run the future of humans?
Computers are, simply put, an electronic machine that takes in data and instructions, works with the data, and puts out information. They are made of hardware and software but without data and instructions they cant perform many task. At this point in time computers are relieving humans from jobs in factories, and help to make jobs easier, supposedly, for many people. So if computerized robots can replace people who’s to say that they aren’t already smarter then us? In many work places computers have become a large part of the job, because they allow humans to do things more efficiently, so without knowledge of computers some jobs are impossible to get. But in fact these computers still don’t outdo a human.
Computers are what they can do. Present day computers perform many operations, here are just a few:
 Solve complicated mathematical equations
 Compute the behavior of nuclear reactors
 Predict the performance of an aircraft or missile still on the drawing board
 Prepare electricity bills and make out pay slips
 Predict the weather
 Calculate the most efficient assignment of troops
 Solve problems of physics and engineering design
 Explore the relations of biological and physiological processes
 Compute and print a table of mathematical functions in a few minutes
 Run entire factories automatically
