With all these great advantages, there must be some disadvantages that not too many people are aware of.
Many people today pay Internet Service Providers for their Internet access like Netscape, AOL, and Netpipe to mention a few. These service providers have high tech computers with high-speed connections to the Internet and are on their way to becoming the backbone of the Internet world. Many ISP’s allow their users to select their own homepage on the ISP’s computer for the whole Internet community to view. Net-porn is an offshoot industry on the information superhighway and companies like Playboy and Hustler run their own servers that are permanent parts of the Internet.
