n former Yugoslavia. If we look at the documentary title; “Death of Nation”, it is Tito’s death left many unsolved problems that were fuelled with rise of nationalism and ethnic haterage. It is also important to mention that Yugoslavian nation, as a homogenous nation actually never existed in reality. Tito’s attempt and ideology to construct new Yugoslavian nation that was based on the principles of brotherhood and unity failed after his death (Lapping, 1995). Political and economic instability with increase of nationalism and ethnic instability were most important factors that initiated the last civil war in Yugoslavia(Lapping, 1995).
The review will be mainly focused on the events that took place in Republic of Croatia.
Because of political character of BBC documentary it was necessary to use several other media sources in order to develop explanations and reasons for ethnic conflict between Croats and Serbs in Croatia. Before we start to analyze the real cause of the ethnic conflict between Serbs and Croats, it is important to mention some important historical moments that were crucial elements in construction of different ethnicities and nations. . documentary it was necessary to use several other media sources in order to develop explanations and reasons for ethnic conflict between Croats and Serbs in Croatia.

Short history of Serbs in Croatia
In about 500 A.D. Slavs migrated from South Carpats (today territory Belarus) to Balkan Peninsula (Davis, 1996). After that migration, they were considered South Slavs, because they migrated toward south direction from their homeland. Once they had settled, under the strong influence of different cultures and due to the geographical isolation and separation each group of South Slavs developed their own distinct identity and culture that later on made them enemies (Singleton, 1985).
