He becomes this stereotypical sexy man once he is transformed into this person that is going to do something great for the United States. He went from an undesirable character, that was strait out scary looking, to a character of charm, whit, good looks, and was also given a sense of power with his new look. He is now the second main character and needs to have a positive spin put on him in order for the audience to enjoy the movie more. We never do find out exactly all of the crimes that he was held in prison for life for. We do know that he knows a lot of America’s darkest secrets and we are under the impression that what he has done was of great significance. However, we the audience, don’t care because he will be attempting to prevent a germ warfare state and safe hundreds of thousands of lives. As we all know, he will succeed because otherwise the movie would just suck.
Throughout the entire movie there is one guy, Wolmac, who absolutely despises Sean Connery and the feeling is reciprocal. Wolmac was around during the time when they imprisoned Sean Connery for stealing some of America’s greatest secrets. He is one of the few men who knows that Connery is being held without trial and with out chance of ever leaving the prison system for the rest of his life. Wolmac is always stressing the fact of how dangerous and illusive Connery is but, the audience is still always seeing him as desirable because he possess these amazing skills that allow him to do basically whatever it is that he wants to do. Connery broke out of The Rock, the most extensively engineered prison of all times. This prison was specifically designed so that no man could break out alive.
