History Of Physical Education
History Of Physical Education In the beginning of the 1900's the American Economy was booming. Automobiles were being produced, home appliances were being produced at mass qualities. But right around the 1930's, American dropped into “the great depression.” Although this obviously had an effect on everything and everyone in America, people still continued to spend their past time playing sports and doing physical activities. Here are some the activities and games that people during 1900-1950’s would play or get involved in. Games and activities from the 1900-20's Midnight (Twelve O’clock at Night) Ground-- Two Goals -- Fox's den and chicken yard The Game-- One player is a fox, another the mother hen, and the rest are the little chickens. The mother hen arranges the chickens in a compact group and then leads them up close to the fox's den and inquires------"If you please Mr. Fox, what time is it?" If he replies any hour except midnight, they are safe and may play about; the hen lets them play a moment and then gets them together again and, standing between them and the fox, asks the time again. When he replies "Twelve o'clock at night!" they must run to the chicken yard. Anyone caught is taken to the fox's den.
