In the ballroom of the student center, Melissa Howard from MTV's, The Real World, spoke on behalf of the Ball State art department.  She did speak, but her speaking skills were not the greatest.  To start off her speech she did not start out with the normal attention getter that most would expect.  She simply said, "Congratulations to all of the winners tonight, now I guess I'm here to entertain you."  I didn't think that was the greatest approach to beginning a speech.  In fact, she really didn't have much of a speech.  It was mostly her just answering questions about her past experiences on the show.  She did have a lot of interesting things to say, but it was not quite a speech, it was more of a discussion with the audience.  One positive that Melissa did have was that
