Introduction:

I. My mother has told me stories about being stuck on the side of the road and being
scared to death because she had no way to get in touch with anyone instead she simply waited and hoped that the person who stopped to help was actually there to help and she even had to get a ride to the nearest phone- this is something we usually no longer have to deal with.

II. Over 80 million Americans now have cell phones and it is almost impossible to
drive down the street and not encounter someone talking away on their cell phone. (CNET 1)

III. I am sure most of you probably have cell phones already, but how much do you
know about the cost and dangers?  I am going to talk today about three things:  The cost of cell phones, the convenience they offer, and the dangers they impose on us.

I. Convenience
A.     Cell phones now offer people the capabilities of being reached at all times     
and being able to call out at all times as well.  The are great in case of an emergency because we no longer are forced to wait for
