September 11, 2001

September 11, 2001 is truly a lurid day that will live with us forever. Hearing it for the first time in geometry class, the news made my jaw drop. It was all very surreal to me. After a full day of listening to the news and then radio I was still in disbelief. I can only imagine something like this to be in an action filled movie, not real life. This was the news given to me at around 10:30 am 3 airliners were hijacked, taken over by terrorists. One of the planes collided with the North World Trade Center. Moments later the second airliner crashed into the second World Trade Center. The third jet was slashed into the Pentagon. I looked around to see the expressions of my classmates, they were in shock, and mouths wide open, just staring at our geometry teacher with unblinking eyes.
It first I thought this was a sick joke. What kind of people would cause such a tragedy? Stepping out of my geometry class, I saw students with teary eyes, and even some sobbing. Even though there was chatter all throughout the school, the school was overfilled with silence. After repeatedly listening
