Capital Punishment
Capital Punishment Capital Punishment Capital punishment is the lawful infliction of the death penalty. Since ancient times it has been used to punish criminals for a wide variety of offenses. Capital punishment has been imposed for such serious crimes as armed robberies, murder, kidnappings, rape, and treason. Capital punishment will punish a criminal for a hideous crime committed. Capital punishment is the just way to punish criminals for crimes. The Bible states that capital punishment be imposed for crimes such as murder, kidnapping, and witchcraft (“Capital Punishment” 123). “Whoso sheddeth man’s blood by man shall his blood be shed” (Genesis 9:6). If the Bible states that capital punishment must be imposed, then it should not be questioned. The Mosaic Code, provided the death penalty for murder and for many other crimes (“Just Punishment” 351). There are three appropriate times when capital punishment should be used (“Particular Crimes” 230). When murder is committed for profit, to include robberies, kidnappings, and killings for hire; when murder is committed while institutionalized whether involving staff or another prisoner and when sequential acts of murder by meaningful periods of time are committed (“Particular Crimes” 230). The first category covers cold crimes, punishment, death, life, criminals, capital, penalty, nothing, criminal, crime, murder, fear, should, prison, particular, murders, imprisonment, states, society, just, committed, able, world, way, united, try, support, punish, possible, out, know, imposed, hideous, decrease, committing, commit, category, book, whether, times, time, think, statute, shelter, robberies
