Religion--Confucianism, Taoism, Christianity
Religion--Confucianism, Taoism, Christianity It would seem that most religions follow a basic and simple path, and by following this path are similar in many ways. Looking past each religions concrete practice, most religions seem to lead the follower to happiness, to wisdom, to service, and to the realization of a being greater than himself. Whether the practice of the religion leads its followers to these conclusions by way of ritual, readings, or meetings, they all seem to strive for the same goals. Though these religions have very different beliefs at times, I am in no way stating that the religions and their practices are similar, only that they each follow a basic rule or line. Early Confucianism sought to help its followers live a better life, to feel a part of something and to become complete. It taught that knowledge was found through one’s self and that what was real came through helping others and opening one’s self to the world. Taoism also taught its followers to be complete, to learn that all things are relative, and that wisdom came through many trials and failures. Taoism taught that only through kindness and pacifism could one’s full potential be reached. It also taught that through, god, found, happiness, one, religions, wisdom, service, same, one’s, life, each, though, things, bible, religion, christianity, way, self, others, followers, truth, taught, own, society, serving, live, ways, very, tao, seem, reading, practice, church, beliefs, true
