A Day in the Life of Jesus A Day in the Life of Jesus At the break of dawn, the rooster crows. The day has begun. Jesus, along with the rest of the town, wake up. Jesus gets dressed in his usual tunic. Over that he puts on his fringed outer garment called a cloak. His sandals, made by the local sandal maker, were fastened together with leather straps. He carries with him a white cloth, so when the sun gets hot, he can cover it over his head. Mary then makes a light breakfast and gives it to Jesus and Joseph to take to work with them.
