Before we get started, I have only one humorous anecdote to introduce: the Garden of Eden must have been located in the state of California because the serpent, Eve, and Adam each suffered the results of the “Three Strikes” law and received the death penalty!
	Over the course of this hearing, I would like to point out several facts which should allow these cases to be dismissed altogether.  It is very important to maintain a receptive mentality, as many people will have already prejudged the guilt or innocence of my clients.  Truthfully, I believe that, with an open mind, it is genuinely difficult to convict my clients of any legitimate crimes.  
First of all, as the subsequent hearings are presently being conducted in the United States Supreme Court, I would like to address the fact that neither of the three defendants were allowed the opportunity to exercise their rights as stated in the 6th and 8th Amendments to the Constitution of the United States.
