Afffirmative Action

Afffirmative Action

I think affirmative action is something that is needed.  It is still needed for the purpose that it would serve as a guarantee that minorities and women would get a job, if qualified. In tunr giving them a chance to prove that they are just as eligible and deserving of the job as the white male who would have been chosen had affirmative action not been in place.  It also serves as a compensation to those descendants whose ancestors fought and had to suffer through so much in order to get minorities and women where they are today.  
	When affirmative action is used as a way to promote people that aren’t as qualified as another applicant just to fill the required quota, so that it will be governmentally improved, then it further shows that it is another form of discrimination
