Ls Llorona Ls Llorona La Llorona One of the first legends I came across said that the Llorona was to thought to be a witch. Sophia was her name. She lived in a small town where young girls had to be married by the age of sixteen. Sophia was nineteen when she met this handsome man named Luis. She gave birth to a son. A short time after her son’s birth, Luis disappeared. One afternoon, Sophia heard two men joking around saying that Luis was in a small town not far from where they were with another woman. This made Sophia very angry. She then took her child to the river and walked in until her son was silent. Laura was a beautiful girl who lived in a humble town. When she was sixteen, she met a handsome man named Miguel. Miguel sought after Laura. She finally gave in when he asked her to marry him.
