Bob Marley
Bob Marley During a concert in New York Bob Marley almost fainted. The next morning, on 21 September 1980, he went jogging with Skilly Cole in Central Park. Bob collapsed and was taken back to the hotel. Several days later it became clear that Bob had a brain tumor and he had, according to the doctors, not even a month to live. Bob Marley’s music, lifestyle, and outlook on life was greatly influenced by his belief in Rastafarianism, which impacted around the world, especially America. The source of the Rastafarianism is found in a specific geographical region the Nile Valley, which consists of northern Egypt and southern Ethiopia. The heart and soul of the philosophy of Rasta comes from this part of Africa. Rasta shares some of the same beliefs as the Egyptians. Such examples are the acknowledgments of Ra, the sun God. Rastafarians share the belief that mankind isn’t separate or different from God, or Joh, which is an abbreviation for Jehovah. Rasrafari believes that within man there are three different levels. One is the animal stage where man is controlled by his passion. The second stage is where man is recognized and is governed by his will to command his emotions.
