Bob Dylan
Bob Dylan Bob Dylan One of the most popular political figures in the 1960's was Robert Allen Zimmerman, better known as Bob Dylan. Bob Dylan recorded many protest songs, perhaps the most famous song, the song which made him a well known name, was The Times They Are A-Changin. A song written about government uprising and protesting the Vietnam War. Born in Duluth Minnesota, Roberts early childhood was pretty normal. His family moved to Hibbing Minnesota, seventy miles from Duluth, when Robert was seven years old. Hibbing was Mrs. Zimmerman's hometown. When Robert was interviewed, he said that the whole town of Hibbing was mainly his family. His mother's mother had a dozen children, all of whom stayed in Hibbing and raised their families there. Robert bored easily. Later, they would find that Robert had a severe case of Attention Deficiete Disorder. He did not understand their Jewish religion and instead of taking the time to understand, he rebelled against it. Instead of spending time learning about his religion he became interested in music. He received his first guitar when he was ten years old.
