The Diary Of A Young Girl The Diary Of A Young Girl THE DIARY OF A YOUNG GIRL ANNE FRANK Edited by Otto. H. Frank and Mirjam Pressler Anne Frank and her sad story are remembered; thanks to a diary she kept, while in hiding from the Nazis during World War II. Anne Frank was born on June 12th 1929 in Frankfort am Main, Germany. Her Parents were Otto Frank and Edith Frank. Anne had an older sister Margot. In 1933 Mr. Frank opened a branch of his business in Amsterdam, Holland and moved his family there that summer. In their new country, Mr. Frank believed his family would be safe from the Nazis. Anne attended a nearby Montessori school. She had many friends and was not unlike other girls her own age. Seven years later, the Nazis invaded the Netherlands and in five days, Holland surrendered to the German forces. Anne’s father began converting his company into a hiding place for his family. Under Nazis law, Anne was forced to leave her school and attend a Jewish school.
