Pyramids
Pyramids In Ancient Egypt there were very few things that provided the Egyptians with a variety of different resources. One of them was its pyramids. They served as protection for pharaohs, an act of faith, and they also showed the pharaohs how much respect the people had for them. Egyptians put many years of effort and hard work to construct the pyramids and they mattered so much to Ancient Egyptian society. The pyramids of Ancient Egypt were built in the Old Kingdom, also known as, “Age of the Pyramids.” These years were around 2600 BC to 2100 BC. Pyramids were constructed in the flood season. They were built because they were a way for the Egyptians to show how they felt about the pharaohs. They also protected the body from floods, wild animals, and robbers. It guaranteed the pharaoh life after death. The Egyptians who built the pyramids used copper tools to cut granite and limestone blocks. The blocks were tied onto wooden sleds, pulled to the Nile, placed onto barges, and floated across the river. Other workers then unloaded the blocks and pulled them to place on the pyramid. pyramids, pyramid, built, egyptians, blocks, ancient, pharaohs, egypt, bc, around, years, season, flood, feet, faith, act, workers, took, stone, sphinx, society, robbers, pulled, pharaoh, people, onto, much, great, egyptian, each, construct, building, body, 2600
