Post Revolutionary Times In The US And Mexico Post Revolutionary Times In The US And Mexico The Mexican and United States had very similar revolutions and because of this many of the mistakes and triumphs of each revolution are also the same, but there were many differences in the revolutions as well. They were different with regards to both social and economic structures. Each faced a tyranny across an ocean trying to govern them and use them for natural resources. These tyrannies ultimately lead to the revolutions in both colonies, and in the end lead to each colony’s freedom. But economically the United States was far more advanced then Mexico and was able to become self-sufficient, whereas Mexico was unable to do so. Another parallel between the two revolutions, both similar and different, is how each new country set up their governments and the governmental systems. The United States form of government was always a republic governed by a written document, which gave powers to all forms of the governments. Unlike the Mexican forms of government, which were! both a monarchy and a republic, changing between the two.
