Founding Fathers
Founding Fathers America, Is it As the Founding Fathers Envisioned? As I take a look at the incredibly large and complex organization that is our government, I realize how different the government has become since the days it was created. There is no way that the founding fathers could have predicted how our government and entire nation would grow over the past 225 years. If Jefferson or Washington were to see the immense size and influence of our government, they would be completely blown away. I am sure that they would be delighted to see that the country that almost wasn’t was able to flourish and become one of the most powerful and influential nations ever. The progression of our government has been truly remarkable. Despite their appreciation for its size, many of our founding fathers would be disgusted if they learned of how our government was run. First of all, even I can barely stomach the insane amounts of money being spent on election campaigns; the money spent last year on elections was probably far greater than the budget during the first President’s terms (even if you factor in inflation). Even after they discover that we have government, founding, fathers, over, country, years, sure, states, little, first, even, am, wonder, way, spent, size, proud, past, money, large, jefferson, incredibly, grow, evolved, elections, during, disgusted, congress, bureaucracy, been, become, allowed, about, able, 225, year, workers, wasting, wasn’t, washington, views, vast, upon, unthinkable, unnecessarily, truly, though, things, thing, terms
