Declaration of Independence
Declaration of Independence Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. These are great words to hear! They are all part of our Declaration of Independence. But, why was it written? The Declaration of Independence was written to declare the freedom of the thirteen colonies and to give the world an explanation of why they separated from Great Britain. In the 1700’s Great Britain did not have a good form of government. The colonies believed that if they could separate from Great Britain that they could form their own government. That government would be one that would be better than Great Britain’s and they succeeded! I agree with everything the colonies did and I am very grateful to them. The colonies decided to separate from Great Britain because King George and his form of government were not protecting their rights. The colonies felt that they owed an explanation to the world of why they separated from the richest country in the world and the strongest military, Great Britain. They felt it was nature that gave them the right to separate form Great Britain, and it was nature that justified the separation because, although Great great, rights, colonies, britain, government, people, king, independence, george, world, states, separate, protect, form, declaration, written, right, protecting, nature, happiness, good, felt, better, believe, been, very, united, strongest, separation, separated, richest, pursuit, part, needed, military, made, life, liberty, justified, give, freedom, explanation, everything, document, country, believed, because, aware, agree, 1700’s
