Coyote Ugly
Coyote Ugly Coyote Ugly, directed by David McNally and written by Gina Wendkos, promotes itself as a film that focuses on a group of young female, table-dancing bartenders --or "coyotes"-- who entertain and thrill their drunk clientele with their uninhibited and often choreographed moves. However, Coyote Ugly soon reveals its true main character, an endearing small-town girl, and offers an appeasing main story about her survival in the city and about the challenge of pursuing her dreams. Leaving her father (John Goodman), her best friend (Melanie Lynskey), and her job at a pizza parlor in South Amboy, New Jersey, Violet (Piper Perabo) moves to New York City in hopes of launching a career as a songwriter. Realizing hostility and fierce competition surrounding the music industry, Violet's optimism is somewhat suspended. Forced to solve immediate financial problems, Violet follows the trail of a group of wild coyote women (Tyra Banks, Izabella Miko, Bridget Moynahan) and discovers an enticing solution in the popular Coyote Ugly Bar. However, Violet's whimsical solutions are affixed by the weighty maturity of Kevin (Adam Garcia), a charming, hardworking Australian who becomes increasingly protective of his new love interest. Conflicts arise, as Violet must confront her true coyote, ugly, main, violet, violet's, story, new, however, without, true, predictability, often, offers, moves, losing, line, interest, group, follows, film, father, endearing, create, city, characters, character, about, young, york, written, women, wild, whimsical, while, wendkos, weighty, viewer's, viewer, uninhibited, underneath, underlying, tyra, transformation, trail, thrill, theme, temporarily, table-dancing, suspended, survival
