In the movies The Taming of The Shrew, Kiss Me Kate, and 10 Things I hate About You were all similar while based on The Taming of The Shrew. These movies are from Shakespeare’s plays. The play was based upon a girl who doesn’t want anything to do with guys while her older sister was a boy magnet and didn’t want to be stuck at home because her sister didn’t want anything to do with boys.
The Taming of The Shrew was about Katerina and Bianca were sisters who totally different from each other. One love to be around guys while the other didn’t want anything to do with boys so the younger one couldn’t go out until the older one did. Lucentio falls in love with Bianca while finding Petruchio to tame her sister Katerina before Bianca is allowed to be with the boys outside of school. A movie, which shows really how different two kids, can be.
Kiss Me Kate was a movie that was based upon the Shakespearean play of The Taming of The Shrew. Kiss Me Kate is a musical that has the same characters playing the roles as Taming of the Shrew does it is just a newer version and has people dancing around. The younger sister Bianca has to wait until Katerina falls in love in order for Bianca to be able to go out. Katerina doesn’t like to be around boys, so she likes to do her own thing and dance around all over the place. A new version was made in order to come up with Kiss Me Kate, but now another one was made for the new ages.
10 Things I Hate About You is based upon Taming of The Shrew also just with shorter names and everything was put into today’s style of life. Kat is a girl who doesn’t care what guys think about her but her younger sister Bianca on the other hand wants to be around the guys all of the time.
