Thurgood Marshall AHS Continues Its Lead In Sending Students To The Best Colleges. As good-performing schools become harder to come by. The horrible conditions that plague our schools have convinced many adults that public schools can no longer provide the necessary resources needed for the students to succeed. At various schools around the district, there are many students who are failing due to the lack of resources and support systems in place. 
Thurgood Marshall A.H.S was created due to the lack of good performing schools in low income neighborhoods. Their mission was to ensure that all students would not only receive a quality education, but that they would have the opportunity and resources to go on to college to make something out of themselves. 
For the past four years, Marshall continues to be one of the leading High Schools in sending its graduates to college. In fact, over 90% of its graduates have or will attend Two-year or Four-year colleges. 
As the district's first College & Career Counselor, Ms. Zelaya has devoted all of her time to ensure that Marshall students are fully aware of all the resources that are available to them, and that they are taking full advantage
