Crime Doesn’t Pay Crime Doesn’t Pay Crime doesn’t pay “Hey you!” I shouted at the boy. “Ye-yes?” the boy replied, while he started to shake. “Get over here right now!” The boy knew that if he didn’t obey, he would have to pay a large price. After all, I was the “gangster” of Manhattan. Everybody is afraid of me. The boy walked slowly to me. He was about 17 years old. I was only 15. “How are you” I asked him, while I thought of a way to get him to the corner. “I’m fine,” he shouted, “what the hell do you want with me? “You shouted at Khan?” Shan shouted back defending me, “I’m gonna kill you” She put her hands up on his neck and took him against the subway wall. “Calm down Shan”, I said. “Shut up Khan, let me handle this,” she shouted back at me. Shan couldn’t talk she could just scream. Shan was actually a nice girl. She only had a very bad temperament. She got angry for the smallest thing, and that’s one of the reasons of why I liked her. She was also a great friend. “Ok, give me everything valuable you have on yourself.” Shan screamed so hard this time that his pants got wet.
