Demonic Child
Demonic Child Demonic Child In Hawthorne’s novel the Scarlet Letter the character Pearl is the product of sin. Everyone in town thought of pearl as abnormal, unnatural, a demon child, and a symbol of adultery committed by her mother Hester Prynne and Father Dimmsdale (which people did not know of yet). This is Pearl and she is the outcast child. Pearl is never going to be able to be seen as normal child, since birth she was always thought to be different, abnormal, and as a demonic child. “Pearl was a born outcast of the infantile world. An imp of evil, emblem and product of sin she had no right among christened infants” (95).Pearl was different from other children because she was born by a sin of adultery and without a father. It’s said that some children pearl, sin, hester, father, children, child, thought, said, product, outcast, mother, heavenly, first, example, different, demonic, demon, born, because, adultery, abnormal, able, yet, world, without, witch’s, violence, unnatural, unlike, unknown, tried, town, toward, tongue, time, things, taking, symbol, stay, speak, since, serious, sent, seen, scarlet, says, right, reminder, reminded, religious, religion
