Diwali According to Joseph Campbell, Myths are the stories of our search for truth and meaning, They help you get in touch with the experience if being alive. Campbell believed that participation in ritual could put you into a direct experience of mythic reality. Myth is a traditional, typically ancient story dealing with supernatural beings, ancestors, or heroes that serves as a fundamental type in the worldview of a people, as by explaining aspects of the natural world or delineating the psychology, customs, or ideals of society. Every religion, is resultant of some mythical aspect of its culture. Throughout India, a land known for its diversity and assortment, there are several different cultures, religions, and languages that make the country a whole. There are many religious rituals that have been carried out for generations and have become an imperative part of the culture. There are four religions practiced commonly in India; Hindu being the most common, Sikhism, Islam, and Christianity. Islam, was mainly practiced in the northern region which was divided into Pakistan, and other Islamic nations around India due to religious differences. Christianity was introduces during the British Rule over India, which started as a mere economical interest.
