Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson Thomas Jefferson was one of the most influential men of his time and of American history. He left lasting affects on the presidency, political parties, and the United States' boundaries. He gave America a lasting legacy and had one of the greatest presidential terms ever. Thomas Jefferson was elected into office in a close race between the Federalists and the Democratic-Republicans. This change in political parties was the first party overturn in our history. With a change in party there is usually a complete revolution from one party to the next. This time was different, Jefferson wanted no one thrown in jail, killed, or exiled.
