College Essay College Essay My high school career at has been very successful. I am very proud of myself and the accomplishments I have achieved. I have actively participated in many school and community programs such as art, band, and National Honor Society. For the past seven years, I have been playing the French horn. This past winter I was accepted in the UW-Oshkosh French Horn Honors Quartet and the Wisconsin State Honors Band. I was able to achieve these accomplishments through hard work, diligent practice habits, and assistance from my private horn instructor on the UWGB music staff. Although I have achieved many successes in the past three years, there was a point where I could not get past the number of failures I had encountered during that time. My lack of self-esteem and insecurities about myself caused my grades to become considerably low. I began to receive a lot of encouragement from my family and friends.
